Duck and Waffle

'Located atop a 40-storey skyscraper, Duck and Waffle debut on the restaurant scene in the summer of 2012. Inspired by broad European and British influences and spirit, Duck and Waffle welcomes guests 24/7, offering breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner and late night menus.'

Standing out with its 40th floor city views and signature synonymous dish, Duck and Waffle have more than impressed with their stellar menu. I first heard about the restaurant when a long-time friend asked me out on a date (pretty good first date right?) I was blown away, not only by the view and atmosphere but by the thought behind it. Two years later, we still crave the food and ambience, it's definitely a luxury but its our go-to date. We go back every so often, its one of our favourite places in London, its great all year round. For me the novelty hasn't worn off, it's a different experience every time and you never forget your first date do you?

Of course I'm a sucker for anything sweet so I almost always go for a sweet waffle with a side of hash brown. But, the menu is in no way limiting, their is a variety of sweet and savory dishes to choose from, as well as some interesting cocktail concoctions. In terms of price, the menu is reasonable, I wouldn't suggest dining every week unless you want to break up with your bank account, but if you've never been before make a reservation!
